Brave Last Days Alert:
Doris Day with UPDATE

Publication: Globe
Date: 12 Apr. 2010

The Globe headline reads "Doris Day Prepares To Die". If Cher's "deadly disease" headline is the lowest level of Brave Last Days Alert, this qualifies as the highest.

Again, this blog sends its best wishes to anyone the tabloids put on this list. Eventually, someone who they say is dying will actually die, but it's April 1st and their dead pool list does not have a single hit yet.

UPDATE: A detail I left out of the original post is that Ms. Day is spending $250,000 for a home her beloved pets can live in after she is gone.

Ahhh . . . can't we do a little better than "dead pool list"? Deceased Celebrity List. . . something that might sound official, maybe even a gubmint phrase. I love Doris and do not think she would want to be on a dead pool list. Me either for that matter.

Didn't mean to offend. I have a dear friend who runs a dead pool and I plan to put together a list next year based on the people who the tabloids have warned us about. I was going to use the nom de mort of Brave Last Dave.

Leave DORIS DAY alone! What can't the Globe understand about the fact that the WORLD is/has been/will be in love with Doris Day...and their paper is nothing but unsubstantiated GARBAGE.

Doris Day is OLD.
Old people tend to die eventually, so this is not news, it's playing the law of averages.
Feh. The Globe can do better, and they should.
